High-Resolution Retina Display
iPad 3 greets you with commendable 9.7-inch Retina Display. As quoted by Apple this “revolutionary” tablet comes with a 2048 x 1536 screen resolution and 246 pixels per inch. It’s a stunner with a million more pixels than an HDTV.
Increased Graphical capability
This time the processor family has took a step ahead, it’s the A5X processor. iPad’s terrific graphics upgrade is attracting the users with awesome visuals in gaming and stuff without hitting the performance. And the user experience has amazingly boosted.
Cameras
iPad 3 has 5MP rear-facing iSight camera having the same 5 lens assembly as iPhone 4S that is capable of shooting 1080p video with great effects added by the iMovie. But the front facing camera has not been upgraded. It has remained identical to its predecessor iPad 2 and provides standard definition video quality.
Weight
Unlike the expectations and the tag line of Apple ”sleek and smart” third gen tablet seems to put on some weight. Yes, it has 8 percent more weight which makes it 49g. Still handy, guess it accounts for the incredibly increased battery timing.
Battery time
iPad 3 is equipped with a substantial battery which will go on for a few days with normal use with its full charging. The standard battery time test was taken by Walt Mossberg at the Wall Street Journal, he said
“Where I play videos back to back with both cellular and Wi-Fi on, and the screen at 75% brightness, the new iPad logged 9 hours and 58 minutes, compared with 10 hours and 9 minutes for the iPad 2.”
But it has been reported that the bottom left corner of iPad 3 got warm during processing videos or using LTE.
Charging Time
iPad 3 takes a bit longer to get charged. Numbers say more than 10 hours. But Apple has put up a claim about the circuit:
“That circuitry is designed so you can keep your device plugged in as long as you would like”
This means now this third generation tablet has no fear of overcharging, which is exceptional.
Wireless connectivity
iPad comes with wifi plus 4G LTE which means super fast data connections. But LTE (long-term evolution) networking is considered to be a big time battery consumer but that’s what the increased battery for. Yet 4G is not available all over the world not even it Britain.
iPad Apps
iPad 3 is having new apps like iMovie, augmented stargazing, infinite blade II, Incredibooth, Sky Gamblers: Air Supremacy, GarageBand is just too good for gamers. It also has the brand new ‘masterpiece’ of the apps i.e. iPhoto which is awesome and unbeatable yet. Well, these Apps eat your storage.

iPad 3 with the sharp crispy display ,increased battery time, the unbeatable circuitry, amazing apps is just breath-taking and worthy to grab on. But wait if you own an iPad 2 you might want to stick to it. That’s fair enough towards your budget.
